Casino Credit makes it too easy to spend more than you intended to and while I’m an advocate for recreational UK gambling, I must say I am rapidly becoming opposed to casino credit. Let me explain.

Casino credit was established to help people extend their stays in casino destinations or to help them fatten their bankroll on a losing trip for those who could go home and send the money right back to the casino or at least authorize the casino to deposit the “marker” into their checking account. However, what happened was it got out of hand.

People would establish UK casino credit on a fluke and many times without the so-called intention of ever using it. However, after a particularly bad run or one two many drinks, the person who knows they have the credit to carry it, inevitably ends up in the casino credit office. Keep in mind, having the credit and having the cash are two different things. When you borrow the money from the casino to play more at their tables, they still want you to pay them back as soon as you return home. It doesn’t matter that you lost all of the money in their casino and it doesn’t matter to them how you come up with the cash. You had the credit to get the markers in the first place, so go borrow the money to pay back the money you borrowed!

The worst thing about this is that so often, internet bingo players will find themselves up quite a bit of money and they could easily put their money aside and play on the casino’s money (their winnings) saving the money they started with as their bankroll. However, that seldom happens. In a perfect world of gaming, players would realize their run of good luck and play smart by tucking their own cash back into a suitcase and continue on with their gaming on the casino’s buck.

Instead, many players do eventually gamble on the casino’s dollars but it isn’t the money that they should be using to gamble on. It’s called a marker and once you get the first one sometimes you recognize how easy it is opting for another one and soon you forget that the word cash is attached to the backside of these gambling-rescue tools.

While some players do practice self-control and many will never grace the inside of the credit office at a casino, the availability is there. This is one reason many advocates for recreational gambling are very supportive of online gambling. Players can set their own gambling limits when they join and to date, there aren’t any casino credit offices that I know of for the online casinos. Granted , if you want to receive ‘casino credit’ you can do so by using a credit card , but no one is going to call that in on you within a matter of days. Casino markers normally have to be paid within 30 days and some in as little as 5 days.

Whether you are gambling online or off, on your dime or the casino’s dime, play smart.

If you play smart, you will always be able to play. Plus in the age of online gambling, there’s always a casino around for your online gambling pleasure so there is no need to play frantically in a brick and mortar casino or to start to use casino credit. There’s always another day in gaming and you want to be able to enjoy it when it rolls around.
